Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what EzLayers collects when you use our layer separation service, and how we handle it. It applies to ezlayers.com and to any account you create on it. By using the service you agree to the practices described here.

What We Collect

• Account information: the name and email address you register with, and the sign-in method you use.
• Images and generated files: the images you upload, the layers, masks, previews and exports produced from them, and the file metadata that comes with them.
• Usage data: how you interact with the service, including runs started, credits spent, features used, pages visited and approximate session activity.
• Device and connection data: IP address, browser and operating system, and similar technical details recorded when you reach our servers.
• Billing information: purchase history, plan status and invoice records. Card details are handled by our payment providers and are never stored on our systems.

Your Images

Uploads are the reason the service exists, so it is worth being direct about what happens to them.

An image you upload is stored on our infrastructure and processed in order to produce the layers you asked for. Producing those layers involves passing the image to the third-party processing providers we use to operate the service. We select those providers at our discretion and may change them from time to time as the product develops.

We do not sell your images, and we do not publish them. We may display work you have submitted to us for that purpose — for example, a testimonial or case study you choose to provide — and only in that case.

Aggregated and de-identified information about how the service performs, which cannot reasonably be traced back to you or your files, may be used to operate, evaluate and improve the service.

How We Use Information

We use what we collect to run and provide the service, process your uploads, deliver your exports, maintain your account and credit balance, take payment, provide support, send service-related messages, detect and prevent abuse or fraud, meet legal obligations, and improve how the product works.

Retention

Generated files are retained for the period associated with your plan, as described on our pricing page, after which they may be deleted. Account records, transaction history and logs are kept for as long as your account is active and afterwards for as long as we reasonably need them for operational, accounting, security or legal purposes.

Files or accounts may also be removed earlier — for example where a storage limit is reached, an account has been inactive or unpaid for a long time, or our terms have been breached. Where we can reasonably reach you first, we will.

Third-Party Services

Running the service takes more than our own servers. We work with providers for hosting and storage, image processing, payment handling, email delivery, and usage analytics. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job, and is not permitted to use it for anything else. As the product develops we may add, replace or retire providers, and this policy is written to stay accurate when we do.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, protect against abuse, and understand how the site is used. See our Cookie Policy for detail.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect what we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't promise absolute security — and keeping your own credentials safe is the part that's in your hands.

Your Choices

You can review and update your profile from your account settings, and you can delete your account there at any time — deleting it removes your access and schedules your associated data for removal, subject to records we need to retain.

Children

The service is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

International Users

The service is operated from, and information is processed and stored in, facilities that may be located outside your country. By using the service you understand that your information may be transferred to and handled in those locations.

Changes to This Policy

This policy will change as the product does. The current version is always here with its date, we'll flag material changes rather than leaving you to find them, and continuing to use the service after a change means the updated policy applies.
